On Tuesday, for example, it was announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin had signed a renewed nuclear doctrine, which exacerbated the smouldering concerns.
Putin said on Thursday that Russia had also deployed a new medium-range ballistic missile against targets in Ukraine in response to recent attacks by the Ukrainian side with longer-range Western missiles.
The geopolitical uncertainties caused by the Ukraine-Russia conflict are likely to continue to drive investors in the new trading week.

EU inflation at 2.0 percent - NVIDIA again beats results - outlook burdened

In a generally manageable week from the perspective of the economic data calendar, EU consumer prices stood out on Tuesday, although at 2.0% (compared to the previous month) they were as high as expected, following 2.0% in the previous month.

NVIDIA disappointed investors late on Wednesday evening after the close of the US stock exchange despite better-than-expected results. The AI giant forecast the slowest growth in seven quarters. Supply chain bottlenecks would lead to demand for AI chips exceeding supply for several quarters in 2026, it said.

Fed member Collins expects further interest rate cuts by the US central bank

Fed representatives also had their say time and again. For example, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Susan Collins, said that she expects further interest rate cuts in the US. "I expect that further adjustments will be appropriate over time to gradually move the federal funds rate from its current restrictive stance back into a more neutral range." "The intention is not to loosen rates too quickly or too much and thereby impede the progress made so far in fighting inflation," it continued.

German economy growing more slowly than expected - focus on purchasing managers

The fact that the German economy is growing more slowly than expected in the third quarter is unlikely to reduce the worry lines of investors in this country. According to the Federal Statistical Office, gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.1% from July to September compared to the previous quarter. An earlier estimate had shown growth of 0.2 percent. In the second quarter, the economy shrank by 0.3 percent. Experts speak of a so-called "technical recession" when the GDP shows two negative quarters in a row.

Today, Friday, investors will be looking ahead to the publication of purchasing managers for Germany and the eurozone (10:00 am). The counterpart for the USA will be in focus in the afternoon from 14:30.
In Germany, the purchasing managers for the manufacturing sector signaled a small increase, while the service sector is just below the growth mark of 50 points.

Consumer confidence from the University of Michigan/Reuters could also provide a final impetus (16:00).

While geopolitical risks picked up speed again for investors here in Germany, NVIDIA's figures caused quite a stir on Wall Street in particular, as expected.
At the end of the week, numerous purchasing managers on both sides of the Atlantic await market participants.

[881
post-56835","boersen-ausblicke","type-boersen-ausblicke","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","borsenausblick-kategorie-boersenwoche-mit-dax-40-und-wall-street
["GET
