The third round of trade talks in Stockholm between representatives of the US and China apparently failed to reach a final agreement.
According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the US President will now decide whether to extend the tariff pause between the United States and the People's Republic.

ADP employment data could provide first foretaste of NFPs - Fed could pause interest rates

A foretaste of the Non-Farm Payrolls This afternoon's ADP employment data (14:15) could provide the first indication.

While the Fed's key interest rate decision is expected at 20:00, attention is likely to focus on the FOMC press conference with Jerome Powell from 20:30.
According to the CME Group's "Fed Watch Tool", it is rather unlikely that there will be a rate cut this evening.
