Our non-binding overview of your realized gains and losses<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


As a private customer of CapTrader with a stated place of residence in Germany, you will receive an annual summary of your realized profits and losses free of charge. This performance report should enable you to view your realized transactions at a glance. We have converted all returns into your base currency, the euro, and broken them down by asset class for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What information does the performance report contain?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The performance report provides you with an overview of your realized gains and losses for all your transactions. We have broken these down into different product groups, asset classes and categories so that you can get a detailed overview of your transactions. Please refer to the following list for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n

Notice:<\/strong> Due to the transaction data available to us, we may not always have been able to calculate all gains and losses in full. Please therefore refer to the notes in the performance report. Some complex transactions are ignored in the calculation of results, so you must add these transactions in order to obtain meaningful information about your realized performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CapTrader cannot guarantee the accuracy of the performance report. This is merely a free service for you to keep an eye on your realized performance. The calculations may contain errors at any time. Therefore, please contact a tax advisor if you need assistance with your tax return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When and how will I receive my performance report?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You will always be informed by us as soon as your report is available for download. This happens in the second quarter of each calendar year. You can then download the report from our <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why haven't I received a performance report yet?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please note that we will not be able to provide the performance report before April. If you have not received a report by then, it may be for one of the following reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. You maintain a company custody account with us. In this case, we offer you detailed company tax reporting, which you can even use for your annual financial statements.
    You can find further information on our website: Operational tax reporting for companies<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You switched your securities account to CapTrader in the course of last year or this year. If necessary, we can then send you a report on request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You have not indicated a German place of residence. We are also planning an individual report for other jurisdictions and will inform you in due course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. They did not carry out any transactions in the past year that led to realized gains or losses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The Base currency<\/a> of your custody account is not the euro, but another currency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. You have participated in complex corporate actions or comparable transactions, which would significantly distort your performance depending on the basis of calculation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
