A trading account with structure
The Family Master Account can be used by one natural person, the "Head of Family" (HOF), to manage the accounts of up to five other adult family members free of charge. The Family Master Account requires only a username and password to manage up to 15 sub-accounts. Sub-accounts are limited to accounts held by family members.

Important account information
The family account structure differs from professional advisor account structures used by registered investment advisors, investment managers or hedge fund managers. The "Head of Family" (HOF) must be a natural person who does not solicit clients or act as a financial advisor. Master accounts are equipped with an administrative function that allows you to manage up to 15 sub-accounts. However, please note that you cannot receive fees for managing the accounts.
The minimum age for opening a cash account is 18 years, while the minimum age for opening a margin account is 21 years.
Management by Head of the family
The "Head of Family" (HOF for short), i.e. the administrator of the account structure, may manage the accounts of up to 5 other family members and up to 15 sub-accounts.
The HOF of the master account must be a natural person.
Must not be a registered advisor nor may that person act as an advisor to the public.
A HOF may not charge fees for managing the accounts of other family members.
The Family & Friends Depot
Clients residing outside the EU have the possibility to open an extension of the family account at CapTrader: the Family & Friends account. With this account type, you can manage not only the accounts of family members exclusively, but also the accounts of people from your circle of friends and acquaintances.
