REALTIME RATES AND MARKET DATA
When trading on the international stock exchanges, it is important to know the current quotes of the securities. At CapTrader you therefore have the choice: Provided that you do not subscribe to real-time quotes, you will automatically receive delayed quotes free of charge, if the respective trading venue supports this. Real-time market data is usually subject to a fee. Some packages are provided free of charge or come with discounts.
No matter how you decide, with or without real-time quotes, in both cases trading at CapTrader is of course possible without restrictions. However, you should be aware of the risk when working with delayed market data that an execution at the current exchange price ("market") can happen at a less favorable execution price for you. Therefore, for security reasons, in the event that you receive a Market order without subscribed real-time quotes in our trading platforms, the warning message that you want to trade an order without real-time market data.

How to apply for market data subscriptions at CapTrader?
In order to be able to subscribe to real-time market data in your CapTrader securities account, the capitalization of your securities account with at least 500 USD (or equivalent) is a prerequisite. Please also note that for the desired security type you must also have are unlockedotherwise no live prices can be displayed (despite the market data subscription).
To subscribe to the market data, dial into your Account Management (Client Portal) and select the path > Settings. Then select in the menu item > Trading platform the point > Market Data Subscriptions. There, click the configure icon on the right to start the ordering process.
Market data is provided by Global Financial Information Services (GmbH). On behalf of Global Financial Information Services (GmbH), your Regional Broker will collect amounts for fees and taxes for such data. Note: With respect to the provision of these services, you are responsible for any applicable taxes that may be charged in addition to the market data fees. As a customer, you will see this sales tax displayed in the Account Statement under>Change in NAV and in the Cash Report.

Professional vs. Non-Professional
Most exchanges and data providers classify clients as either non-professional or professional. By default, organizations such as corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and all accounts where the data is used for other than personal investment purposes are considered professional. In addition, individuals may also be classified as professional if they are registered as a securities or investment advisor or act in a similar capacity. A CapTrader customer who is employed by a financial services company may also be considered a professional.
SUBSCRIBE TO GFIS FOR STREAMING MARKET DATA IN REAL TIME
You can choose the subscription that's right for you from our wide range of streaming packages for real-time market data. Once your account is activated, you can subscribe or cancel subscriptions at any time. Below is a list of all monthly fees. Subscriptions started mid-month will still be billed at the full monthly price.
Different prices apply for Professional clients and there are different market data subscriptions. Please also subscribe to the desired live rates here in the Client Portal under > Settings.
Limits for simultaneously available real-time quotes
- All individual user sessions have 100 lines of simultaneous quote usage within their Trader Workstation.
- Each booster package contains 100 additional, simultaneously usable Level I price quotations.
- Price quotations are available via the desktop systems and the API.
- A maximum of 10 booster packages allowed per account.
- If you have booked a package, the price quotes are available immediately and will be displayed the next time you log into the application.
- Data from canceled booster packages remains available until the end of the current billing period.
Customers must subscribe to real-time data in order to see quotes in real time.
All data is provided with the help of Global Financial Information Services (GmbH).

Please note that all subscribers are responsible for any applicable taxes, including but not limited to VAT, fees or assessments imposed by foreign or domestic, state, regional or local governmental entities or their subdivisions in connection with the provision of the data. For Services that qualify for a fee waiver, fees will be waived once the commission threshold for each Service is reached. Calculations for waivers are not made on a cumulative basis and are applied first to the service with the highest price.

How do I choose the right packages for the trade?
You are not sure which market data subscription is the right one for your trade? Then please use the market data subscription manager in your TWS.
1. click with the right mouse button on the title of the security (in the example the Apple share)
2. you will now see below a selection of market data packages that include Apple stock. Please note that you should pay attention to the stock exchange when making your selection.
In our example, we would like to trade the Apple share on the NASDAQ stock exchange. For this purpose, we would select the > NASDAQ (Network C/UTP) package for USD 1.50 per month.

How is billing done for subscriptions?
Fees for market data and research subscriptions are charged from the date of subscription and on the first business day of each subsequent month for as long as the services are active. Charges are based on the number of users subscribed to the service on an account. If multiple users subscribe, multiple charges will be billed to the account. Additional charges may apply for the use of snapshot data requests.
In addition, it should be noted that debits are always made in the base currency of the account. The costs of a package for US shares, for example, will be debited to the EUR balance and not to the USD balance if EUR is set as the base currency.
Snapshot data and delayed data
Basically, users receive free delayed market data for almost all exchanges. If needed, users can subscribe to real-time streaming market data at the prices listed below. Once a subscription is active, delayed market data will be replaced with real-time quotes. In addition, customers who do not require streaming real-time price quotes will be able to request snapshot data from multiple exchanges worldwide. Through such a request, customers will receive a static quote for the instrument. U.S. listed stocks are $0.01 per quote request and all other instruments are $0.03 per quote request. As a special service, fees of 1.00 USD per month are waived for snapshot quotes.

To be able to trade penny stocks, you need the trading authorization > Stocks > USA (Penny Stocks).
Important: In order to view and then activate the trading approval, two-factor authentication must be activated beforehand. The required financial circumstances, investment objectives and knowledge must also be met.
Where can I unlock the countries Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic?
You can obtain trading authorizations for shares in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic via > Shares > Central Europe.
