The company history of CapTrader
CapTrader's company history goes back a long way. The original company, an asset management and consulting firm, was founded back in 1997. It started its first asset management activities in 1998. A few years later, the CapTrader brand was created and prepared for the start of brokerage activities for the first time in 2009.
In 2011, CapTrader's online trading offering was launched on the market for the first time and in the same year, an extensive range of webinars, seminars and training courses was brought out. In 2012, Börsenmedien AG published the book "So optimieren Sie Ihr Trading" (How to optimize your trading) by the current CapTrader managing directors Andreas and Christian Weiß. Due to the strong increase in the number of customers, the company expanded and moved into larger office premises in 2013. At the same time, CapTrader received approval as a Training company for bankers and office management. The first relaunch of the website followed in 2014. Two years later, CapTrader expanded its range of software solutions to include the AgenaTraderwhich is free of charge for CapTrader clients in the Mercury version. Again two years later, in 2018 the new account management (Client Portal) and trading by voice (IBot) were launched.
In 2019, CapTrader operates as an independent GmbH with headquarters in Düsseldorf and starts a cooperation with the FOM University in the form of a stock exchange simulation for students in the field of finance. In the following year, CapTrader becomes a sponsor of Fortuna Düsseldorf and is still a metropolitan partner of the home club. In 2021, CapTrader designs a complete Relaunchwhich was publicly implemented at the beginning of 2022. This included a newly developed brand identity, a new logo, a new slogan, a revised design, a new image film and a completely new website. Ongoing work was carried out on CapTrader Numerous awards awarded by various market research institutes, comparison portals and trade journals, which underpin the quality of the product range and customer service.
