Aktion Lichtblicke e.V. is particularly concerned with people among us who have to endure severe blows of fate: The weak and disadvantaged in our society, who have no lobby for their concerns. Here, it is above all children who suffer most from the emergency situations into which their families fall. And it is precisely to the smallest ones that we want to give attention, solidarity and resources. Children are our future and deserve everyone's help in solidarity. With our work, we assume our social responsibility, want to be a lobby and a voice and actively help those in need in North Rhine-Westphalia. Unbureaucratically, quickly and effectively.

More than 67,000 trees stand along Düsseldorf's streets. More young trees are added every year. By donating a tree, you can help plant more street trees or replace trees that have had to be cut down due to age or disease.
Trees provide oxygen, shade, bind particulate matter and carbon dioxide from the air, increase humidity and lower the temperature in the city, and of course a tree-lined street looks much nicer. -
Even wishes as to which part of the city the money should be used in are taken into account.

The Christian Association of Young People e.V. is an association with a long tradition and contributes to social tasks in Ratingen. All tasks are performed by volunteer members. The Christian association invites annually to the single Christmas party. Invited are single and lonely people who are looking for fellowship with others. This special afternoon and evening are filled with a varied and entertaining program.

"Acting together in everyday life - learning for a self-determined life" is the motto of the special school, which does great work with mentally handicapped people and has made it its business to prepare them as far as possible for an independent life. Since the individual support of the children requires some pedagogically meaningful and important tools, even the smallest donation can open up new opportunities.

"It's not about giving life more days, it's about giving days more life." In addition to an annual donation, the CapTrader team also participated and still participates in the annual B2Run in Düsseldorf. The proceeds of the approximately 7000 participants and 300 companies flowed to the benefit of the children's hospice. On July 05, 2012, the team of CapTrader participated in the B2Run whose proceeds also went to a large extent to the children's hospice Regenbogenland. In addition, a donation was made with the aim of sustainably supporting such an important institution every year.

A children's hospice is a home for children who have a limited life expectancy due to an incurable disease or a severe disability. A children's hospice is a place where the focus is on life and the joy of living. It is a facility that wants to help families to make the time they have left together with their child as fulfilling and positive as possible.

A second home

On the one hand, a children's hospice should become a second home for the affected children, to which they would like to return again and again for short stays in a pleasant family atmosphere. There, they are cared for and looked after in the best possible way by specially trained staff.

On the other hand, a children's hospice serves to relieve the whole family and to supplement home care. After all, the home care and nursing of terminally ill and/or severely disabled children is a task that often leads to very special burdens for the families over many years.

With the possibility of a temporary admission of the affected children, their parents and siblings, the hospice wants to complement the care and nursing at home in the family and thus help to avoid that the affected children have to be separated from their families for a longer period of time.

The Clinic for Senology and Breast Surgery at Marienhospital Düsseldorf ensures comprehensive care for women and men affected by benign or malignant breast diseases. This includes consultation and the range of operations for malformations, changes in shape and breast aesthetics. The independent counseling center Zebra is available to all those seeking advice for questions in the personal environment (in the family or at work).

CapTrader had spontaneously decided to make a donation to the German Red Cross about shortly after the earthquake and devastating tsunami in Japan. With these funds we support the Japanese Red Cross in association.

CapTrader works closely with AIDS-Hilfe (AHD) through HEARTBREAKER. As an independent association, HEARTBREAKER can plan, organize and carry out fundraising measures much more intensively and professionally than AHD could. The goal is to help those affected by HIV through education, counseling, care and support.

We support the concerns of people with HIV & Aids financially and ideally - with our know-how and our energy.

At the Susanne Raming School, pupils with a special focus on "intellectual development" are taught. Lessons take place in age-homogeneous classes consisting of six to nine pupils. Therapies, individual support and interest groups supplement the lessons.

Children and young people with a disability often experience that their peers are faster and more competent. As a rule, they are excluded from many opportunities that children without disabilities take for granted. Pupils with a disability can participate in offers of sports clubs, churches etc. only in exceptional cases, with special consideration and care. Of course, they, like all children, have the need to move and do sports and are proud when they can do something.

That's why teachers and parents want to offer children the opportunity to acquire a special skill and learn how to ski. In 2001, committed teachers of the Susanne Raming School founded an interest group under the motto "Skiing, we can do that too! Once a year, a group of students, some of them accompanied by volunteers, travels to Reit im Winkl, where they learn the important skills of skiing with the support of the competent and friendly ski instructors of the "Ski and Snowboard School Reit im Winkl". During these seven days, the students do not feel "handicapped" as they accomplish something that not every child can do! They experience success and have fun doing it.

Committed parents and teachers try to earn the necessary money for the ski trip through many activities. Since such a trip and the related organization costs quite a bit, the money collected and the parents' own contributions are unfortunately not enough.
