Do the conditions differ between a company custody account and a private custody account?
The conditions of a corporate custody account do not differ from a private account structure. Only the costs of the market data packages (real-time prices) are higher for company accounts, as you are automatically classified as a commercial customer.
What is the minimum deposit in a corporate custody account?
The minimum deposit for a corporate securities account is €25,000, which can be made either in the form of a deposit or an incoming Deposit transfer can be provided.
How long can I expect the opening process to take?
Please note that there are different levels and involved departments (New Accounts > Client Risk Assessment > Compliance) when opening a corporate account. They need a certain amount of time to review your documents and information. A general processing time is difficult to predict due to the tier structure and the sometimes high volume.
Note: Please start the opening process only when the opening of your company has already been completed and you can retrieve the required documents.
What kind of documentation of my custody activities do I receive in a corporate custody account?
The documentation of their custody account activities is also carried out as in a private account structure, in the form of a standard Account statement.
Do I need an LEI number (Legal entity identifier)?
The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is required for corporate securities accounts in accordance with Art. 9 EMIR for the purpose of reporting over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions to trade repositories. EMIR mandates the reporting of OTC derivative contracts to increase transparency in the derivatives market. As part of this reporting, counterparties to the transaction must be identified using a unique code, which for legal entities is the 20-digit LEI.
What is EMIR?
The European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) is intended to contain systemic risks in the European derivatives market. EMIR imposes obligations on certain parties to derivatives transactions.
