A busy trading floor with people working at computer stations and large electronic stock exchange boards displaying data overhead, including the latest figures for the DAX weekly outlook.

Investors have peak fever. The leap over the psychologically important 26,000-point mark acts like a can opener. The triad of geopolitics, monetary policy, and corporate earnings is currently providing the desired coordinates for investors' navigation systems. The prospect of diplomacy between Washington and Tehran continues to act as the tip of the scales.
However, the recent series of records should not obscure the fact that significant risks continue to simmer beneath the surface due to the smoldering Iran conflict.
Now investors are likely to focus in particular on the US labor market data due on Friday.

Investors hope for diplomacy between Washington and Tehran

According to US President Donald Trump, the United States is once again in talks with Iran. He stated that the negotiations are Tehran's last chance to sign „a good deal.“ Several countries had asked the United States to give diplomacy another chance, he added. At the same time, he reiterated that talks appear to be taking place at Tehran's request. „The first phase is the opening of the strait,“ Trump said. According to him, a second phase will focus on the „denuclearization“ of Iran.

„JOLTs and ADP employment data could provide first preview of NFPs

The so-called „JOLTs“ (Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey) may have already provided an appetizer for the upcoming NFP publication. For the month of June, the report showed a total of 7.359 million open positions, compared to an expected 7.454 million units (previously: 7.537 million units).
At the same time, Wednesday's ADP employment data could also provide an initial preview of the official US job figures. The ISM Purchasing Managers' Index for the service sector is expected on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.

US job data in focus on Friday – economists expect job growth of 80,000 units

The US employment report (Non-Farm Payrolls) will come into focus for investors on Friday at 2:30 PM, which is expected to provide monetary policy impulses. Economists expect that a total of 80,000 new jobs were created outside of US agriculture, which is significantly more than in June (57,000 new jobs).
Also in focus are the unemployment rate as well as the development of average hourly wages. For the former, a rate of 4.2 percent is expected.
