DAX weekly outlook: Conflict between USA and Iran and NVIDA business figures in focus

Anleger…

A busy trading floor with people working at computer stations and large electronic stock exchange boards displaying data overhead, including the latest figures for the DAX weekly outlook.

The German benchmark index recaptured the 25,000 mark in the middle of the week. The rise signals a new willingness to take risks among investors. The recently dominating customs dispute is out of sight and thus out of mind for stock market players for the time being.
Instead of geopolitical headlines and macroeconomic risks, the upcoming publication of NVIDIA's quarterly figures is casting its shadow. Investors are now turning their attention to the AI pacemaker from the USA.
In the short term, investors seem to be ignoring geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic risks. Neither trade conflicts nor economic uncertainties are currently dampening the buying mood.

After Trump's State of the Union address: no major movements

Following Trump's State of the Union address, investors in Germany also seem to have breathed a sigh of relief for the time being, as there were apparently no new tariff threats. The US President praised the successes of his administration and defended his tariff policy. However, no details were given on the details of the policy.

Focus on conflict between USA and Iran: Fear of military escalation likely to remain

Investors should not forget the ongoing conflict between Iran and the USA. The United States is demanding a solution to the nuclear dispute and at the same time wants the Iranian nuclear program to be stopped. A military escalation could have a negative impact on the stock markets and also affect the DAX. Talks between Washington and Tehran could possibly continue in Geneva on Thursday.

Fed officials still in focus - US economic data ahead on Thursday

As on Monday and Tuesday, speeches by various Fed representatives will also be on the agenda in the coming hours and days.

On Thursday, in addition to the initial claims for US unemployment benefits at the same time, it is important to keep an eye on new orders for durable goods (14:30).

Michelle Bowman (Vice Chair for Supervision) is expected to attend at 4:00 pm in the afternoon.

German inflation figures and important US price data in focus on Friday

Investors should pay attention to the preliminary inflation rates for the Federal Republic of Germany on Friday at 14:00. Economists expect price pressure of 2.0% compared to the same month last year (previously: 2.1%).

However, one of the highlights of the week is likely to be the publication of US producer prices (14:30), which could provide important monetary policy impetus.
Experts expect an increase of 0.3% compared to the previous month (previously: 0.5%).

NVIDIA quarterly figures are expected today after the US stock market closes

Investors in Frankfurt am Main are also likely to be eagerly awaiting the results of AI chip manufacturer NVIDIA (ISIN: US67066G1040), which are expected today after the close of the US stock exchange.
