MANAGED ACCOUNT BOTHE AND EICHHORN CAPITAL

The managed account "Bothe & Eichhorn Capital" trades short-dated option strategies, mainly SPX options. The strategy is set up on the expiration days of the SPX options and is on these days only a few hours in the market at the trading time of the S&P 500. Thus, the managed account is not exposed to gap risks that occur to large deposit fluctuations due to events such as the weekend. Most of the time the deposit is 100 % in cash.
This is a neutral market strategy, so performance is largely independent of the general stock market trend.

The strategy follows a strict risk and money management in case of an extraordinary market movement: Losses are to be realized very quickly and thus kept small (see below on risks), profits are allowed to run.
The option premiums are quoted in U.S. dollars, and are converted into the base currency of the portfolio (usually euros) for currency diversification.
