A busy trading floor with people working at computer stations and large electronic stock exchange boards displaying data overhead, including the latest figures for the DAX weekly outlook.

Investors are currently dancing between corporate figures, geopolitics, and monetary policy amidst three major events. In search of a new balance between profit expectations and global risks, investors are balancing on a tightrope. Geopolitical risks, monetary policy questions, and a fragile AI fantasy form a triad that could repeatedly dampen investors’ willingness to take risks.
A day before the Fed’s interest rate decision that is eagerly awaited, investors are likely to act with a somewhat tightened grip anyway.

All eyes on the US Federal Reserve – Kevin Warsh’s speech in focus

From a calendar perspective, there are numerous potential catalysts this week. On Wednesday, the US central bank meeting in particular will be in the spotlight for investors. Focus on core rate for personal consumption spending and ECB interest rate decision on Thursday

On Thursday, the core rate for personal consumption expenditures from the US will first be awaited by the markets, which must be taken into account following monetary policy announcements (13:30). This rate is also considered the preferred inflation measure for the US central bank.

At 14:15, the ECB interest rate decision should be considered, and half an hour later the press conference with President Christine Lagarde.

However, Friday is likely to be dominated entirely by the publication of new GDP growth rates for the Federal Republic of Germany (10:00 a.m.), the Eurozone (11:00 a.m.), as well as preliminary inflation data here (14:00 p.m.).
