Week in review DAX 40 and Wall Street: Interest rate doubts remain - NVIDIA exceeds expectations

In den vergangenen Tagen mussten Anleger wie erwartet zahlreiche geldpolitische Impulse verarbeiten. Dabei standen insbesondere zur Wochenmitte die Veröffentlichung der jüngsten Fed-Mitschriften im Fokus. Auch die Zahlen des Chipherstellers NVIDIA haben abermals die im Vorfeld getätigten Erwartungen übertroffen und für Furore gesorgt.
Gen Wochenschluss dürften allerdings erneut wichtige US-Konjunkturdaten für Bewegung sorgen.

Für den DAX ging es zuletzt auf rund 18.625 Zähler. Der Dow Jones büßte am Donnerstag rund 1,5 Prozent auf 39.065 Punkte ein, der S&P 500 ca. 0,7 Prozent auf 5.267 Einheiten und die Nasdaq 0,4 Prozent auf 16.736 Punkte.

Fed-Vertreter erteilten einer zeitnahen Zinswende eine Absage – Fed-Mitschriften bestätigen restriktiven Kurs

Zu Beginn der Woche war es Fed-Direktoriumsmitglied Christopher Waller, welcher einer zeitnahen Zinswende eine Absage erteilte und nicht zuletzt eine einflussreiche Stimme hat. Waller wies darauf hin, dass der Jobmarkt in den USA weiterhin robust sei und die Fortschritte im Kampf gegen die Teuerung bescheiden ausgefallen seien. Erst nach „einigen weiteren Monaten mit guten Inflationsdaten“ würde er sich mit einer Lockerung der Zinszügel wohlfühlen, hieß es.

Auch die sogenannten „FOMC-Minutes“ signalisierten, dass das Nachlassen des Preisdrucks in den USA wohl doch länger dauern wird als gedacht. Mittelfristig wolle man das Inflationsziel von zwei Prozent erreichen, heißt es in den am Mittwochabend veröffentlichten Mitschriften.

Weiterhin setzen Marktteilnehmer allerdings auf eine erste Zinssenkung auf der Sitzung im September, was jedoch ungewiss ist. Das „Fed-Watch-Tool“ der CME Group rechnet mit einer Chance von knapp unter 50 Prozent.

NVIDIA sorgt abermals für Aufsehen – Umsatzplus von 262 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahresquartal

Nach US-Börsenschluss sorgten zur Wochenmitte die Zahlen aus dem Hause NVIDIA für großes Aufsehen. Der Chiphersteller konnte im vergangenen Quartal dank des anhaltenden KI-Booms einen Umsatz von rund 26,04 Milliarden Dollar einfahren, nach 7,2 Milliarden Dollar im Vorjahr, was einem Plus von 262 Prozent entspricht.

Am Donnerstag konnten die ersten Schätzungen zu den HCOB-Einkaufsmanagern für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland temporär für positive Impulse sorgen. Insbesondere für das verarbeitende Gewerbe und dem Dienstleistungssektor hoffen Anleger auf eine Erholung.

Das Pendant für die USA von S&P konnte sich ebenfalls besser entwickeln als erwartet, was nicht zuletzt wiederum die Zinssenkungsfantasien der Anleger trübte.

Am späten Donnerstagabend verwies US-Notenbankvertreter Raphael Bostic darauf, dass es keine gute Idee sei, auf eine baldige Zinssenkung zu setzen. "Bei der Frage, ob die Inflation auf unseren Zielwert zurückgeht, sind wir noch nicht über den Sorgen-Punkt hinweg“, hieß es bei einer Veranstaltung der Stanford University.

Deutschland-BIP fällt wie erwartet aus – US-Konjunkturdaten runden Handelswoche ab

Am Freitag sorgten zunächst die BIP-Wachstumsraten hierzulande für keine Überraschungen. Im Jahresvergleich fiel das BIP im ersten Quartal wie erwartet mit 0,2 Prozent rückläufig aus nach ebenfalls minus 0,2 Prozent im Zeitraum zuvor.

Im Blick behalten Anleger am Nachmittag neben den Bestellungen für langlebige Güter in den USA (14:30 Uhr) auch den Michigan-Verbrauchstimmungsindex (16:00 Uhr).
Eine Eintrübung der Werte könnte für geldpolitische Entspannungssignale sorgen.
