Norway is one of the largest countries in Europe, but with only about 5.5 million inhabitants very sparsely populated. The country is known not only for its glaciers, mountains and coastal fjords, but also for its highly developed economy, prosperity and well-functioning social system. Norway is rich in natural resources such as oil, natural gas, fish and minerals, which form the basis for many of the major public companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Orkla is a conglomerate operating mainly in the food industry. Formerly a conglomerate, Orkla has transformed itself since the 2008/2009 financial crisis and has since positioned itself primarily as a consumer company. Norway is known for good fish, especially salmon and trout. Mowi is a food company located on the southwest coast of Norway in the city of Bergen and has a share of 25-30 % of the world market for salmon and trout. The company is involved in the farming, processing and distribution of the fish. In addition, Mowi manufactures feed and distributes numerous other seafood and processed products. The company's stock has been able to shine with consistently strong performance over the past 10 years. In 2022, the stock broke out to a new all-time high in May, which was followed by a correction of nearly 20 %.

The company operates solar energy plants and offshore wind farms and already supplies more than 170 million households with energy.
